Welcome to the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences at the University of Macau, also known as the CCBS!
CCBS is a nexus for cognition and brain neuroscience across the University of Macau (UM) campus, in which a bunch of faculty members work in multidisciplinary teams to better understand how the brain works. The strategic goals of CCBS are to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration in the cognition and brain sciences at UM and use neuroscience to benefit Macao society.
UM’s CCBS is located in Macau, a distinct fusion of multiculturalism that offers excellent brain research resources in language, children development and cognitive aging, and addiction. Combined with the growth CCBS has achieved, we truly are broadening the impact of cognition and brain science activities locally, nationally and internationally. We are very confident that high-profile research work will be carried out through this platform to produce a number of key scientific outputs and discoveries with world influences.
With strong supports from UM, the Government of Macau, and the Central Government, let’s work together and find a way to make CCBS become one of the glowing stars in the Guangdong-Hongkong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
