On 28 April, a delegation comprising over 20 media outlets from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao visited the Institute of Collaborative Innovation (ICI) of the University of Macau. Xu Cheng-Zhong, interim director of ICI, provided the media delegation with an overview of the features of the institute’s research centres, as well as its current research focus on emotional artificial intelligence (emotional AI), which aligns with Macao’s characteristics. Several professors from the Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences and the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics also presented their research projects.
