The Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences (CCBS) of the University of Macau has initiated a series of neuroscience seminar in 2021 and continue this series in 2022.
You are cordially invited to join the 1st seminar this year, with guest speaker Prof. Shaozheng QIN from McGovern Institute for Brain Research, Beijing Normal University sharing his research with us via zoom.

All are welcome to join via zoom.

Guest speaker: Prof. Shaozheng QIN, Beijing Normal University

Topic: Brain Functional Reorganization Linking to Stress Vulnerability in Youths: From Circuitry to Network and Behaviour

Speaker’s Biography:  Dr. Shaozheng Qin received his Ph.D. degree in cognitive neuroscience from Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour in 2010 November. He continued his postdoctoral research at Stanford and then promoted as an Instructor at Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences, Stanford University School of Medicine. He joined IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research at Beijing Normal University, and founded the integrative Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (iCAN) lab. His primary research of interest is to understand how the brain supports human emotion, learning, memory and their complex interplay to affect mental health. And how these systems develop as the brain matures from childhood through adolescence into adulthood, and how they contribute to atypical emotion (i.e., stress, anxiety) impacts children’s brain cognitive and affective development. The overarching goals are to promote learning, memory and emotional wellbeing in education, and to foster brain-inspired prevention and early intervention of emotional disturbance or disorders.
